Vision
What do you want? Describe it in detail. What is the result that you desire? What will it look like? What do you want to make real? Can you visualize what you want to accomplish?
Values
What are your values as they relate to your vision? What’s important to you. Where do you draw the line?
Reality check.
Where are you at, right now, in relation to your vision? Be truthful. Make an honest assessment of your current condition in relation to your vision. Why would you want to devote your energies to this end? What difference will it make?
Identify constraints.
What are the limiting factors? Time, assets, co-operation, energy, resources? What intermediate steps are you going to take to address these constraints?
Target date for realizing vision.
Be specific and realistic. Establish a time frame and the intermediate steps that will lead to realizing your goal. Where do you want to be in 3 months? 2 months? 1 month? 2 weeks? 1 week? 4 days? Etc. until you come to what can you do today that will channel your energies in the direction of realizing your vision?
Commit to realizing your vision.
If you want it you must declare your intention and focus your energies in that direction. Commit to a course of action. Trust that the vision will manifest if you stay the course. Do it. Review your vision at least daily. Do something every day that brings you one step closer to fulfilling your vision.
Resistance plan.
Create a plan of action for dealing with the resistance that will arise as you progress and approach the realization of your vision. Remain flexible and adjust as necessary. Secure a coach, counselor, or mentor. Re-vitalize your energies when needed. Re-view values manifesting through the realization of your vision and your progress. Manage the momentum. Journal your fears and doubts.
Acknowledge progress.
Chart your progress so that your momentum translates into realizing your vision. Progress should be real and measurable. Celebrate intermediate milestones.
Celebrate and acknowledge success.
Allow for fully realizing and appreciating the fulfillment of your vision. Celebrate your capacity to bring your vision into reality.
